1. About us

These Terms of Service apply to the online store pawandboneatelier.com, operated by Zairela Studio, trading as Paw and Bone Atelier, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered in the Netherlands.

"We", "us" and "our" refer to Zairela Studio / Paw and Bone Atelier. "You" refers to the customer or visitor.

2. Scope

These Terms apply to every visit to our store and every order you place with us. By placing an order, you accept these Terms together with our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits the rights that mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you.

3. Our products

We sell personalized pet accessories, including pet ID tags, stainless steel pet bowls and pet food mats. Each product is made to order by our production partners (Printify and its print providers, and Printful).

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as possible. Product photos are mockups: colors may look slightly different on your screen, and handmade or printed details can vary slightly from item to item. Size tolerances are stated on the product page (for example, bone-shaped mats may vary by ±1"). Minor differences like these are not a defect.

4. Personalization

  • You are responsible for the personalization details you enter, including spelling, capitalization and phone numbers. We print exactly what you type.
  • Keep text short so it stays readable. On our 1-inch tags we recommend a name of up to about 10 characters and one phone number.
  • You may not submit text that is offensive, discriminatory, unlawful or infringes on someone else's rights (such as trademarks or copyrighted names). We may refuse or cancel such an order and refund you in full.

5. Orders and contract

An order placed through our store is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when you receive our order confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if a product is unavailable, if there's an obvious pricing error, or if we suspect fraud. In that case we refund any amount you paid in full.

6. Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) unless your local currency is displayed at checkout.
  • US sales tax and any applicable VAT are calculated at checkout. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay.
  • Import duties and taxes for orders shipped outside the United States are not included and are payable by the recipient.
  • Payment is due at the time of ordering, using one of the payment methods offered at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers.

7. Production and delivery

Production takes 3–7 business days, after which your order ships. Delivery times and costs are described in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates. If delivery takes more than 30 days after the expected date, you may cancel your order and receive a full refund, unless the delay is caused by incorrect address details you provided.

Risk of loss passes to you when the package is delivered to your address.

8. Cancellation and right of withdrawal

Because every product is personalized and made to your specifications, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and UK does not apply (Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU; Article 6:230p(f) of the Dutch Civil Code). You can change or cancel your order free of charge within 12 hours of ordering, as long as production hasn't started. See our Refund Policy.

9. Defects and guarantee

If your product arrives damaged, defective or different from what you ordered, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you in full, as described in our Refund Policy. EU and UK consumers also keep their statutory guarantee rights for products that do not conform to the contract.

Use our products as intended and follow the care instructions. Pet products are not chew toys: supervise your pet and replace any product that is damaged. The pet ID tag is an identification aid and does not replace a microchip or registration required by law.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damage. These limitations do not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or to any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Intellectual property

All designs, photos, text, logos and other content on our store belong to Zairela Studio or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission. Buying a product does not transfer any intellectual property rights in the design.

12. Use of our store

You agree not to misuse our store, for example by attempting to gain unauthorized access, disrupting its operation, placing fraudulent orders or using automated tools to copy content. If you create a customer account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

13. Third-party services

Our store runs on Shopify and uses third-party services for payments, production and shipping. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

14. Complaints and disputes

If you have a complaint, email us at contact@pawandboneatelier.com. We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and aim to resolve your complaint within 14 days.

15. Governing law

These Terms and any contract with us are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our store at the time you place your order applies to that order.
