This Privacy Policy explains how Paw and Bone Atelier collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit pawandboneatelier.com, place an order or contact us.
1. Who we are
Paw and Bone Atelier is a trade name of Zairela Studio, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered in the Netherlands. Zairela Studio is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What information we collect
Information you give us
- Order details: name, email address, phone number (if provided), shipping and billing address, the products you order and the personalization you enter (such as your pet's name and a phone number printed on a tag).
- Payment details: handled directly by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Customer account: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
- Communication: messages you send us by email or through our contact form.
- Newsletter: your email address if you sign up for our emails.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, and how you interact with our store.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see section 8.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

4. Who we share your information with
We never sell your personal information for money. We share it only with trusted parties that help us run our business:
- Shopify: our e-commerce platform, which hosts our store and processes orders. See Shopify's privacy policy.
- Production and fulfillment partners: Printify (and its print providers, such as Printed Mint and MWW On Demand) and Printful. They receive your name, shipping address, phone number if provided, and personalization details, only to make and ship your order.
- Shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL and national postal services): your name, address and, where needed, phone number or email for delivery updates.
- Payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal and other payment methods shown at checkout): to process your payment securely.
- Analytics and advertising partners: Google (Analytics, Search Console, Google Merchant Center and Google & YouTube), Pinterest and Meta, only with your consent where required.
- Professional advisers and authorities: our accountant, and government authorities when we are legally required to share information.
All service providers process your information on our behalf and under agreements that protect it.
5. International transfers
We are based in the Netherlands. Some of our partners, including Shopify, Printify, Printful, Google, Pinterest and Meta, and our US production facilities, process data outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States and Canada. When your data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, adequacy decisions or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep your information
- Order and invoice data: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
- Customer service emails: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Customer account: until you ask us to delete it, except data we must keep for tax purposes.
- Analytics data: no longer than 26 months.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing before the withdrawal;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising, if you live in a US state that grants this right. Use our Your Privacy Choices page. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.
To use any of these rights, email contact@pawandboneatelier.com. We respond within one month (EU/UK) or 45 days (US). We may ask you to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the data protection authority in your country.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make our store work (for example, your cart and checkout), remember your preferences, measure how our store is used and, with your consent, show relevant ads. Strictly necessary cookies don't require consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are only placed after you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for more details.
9. Security
We use Shopify's secure, encrypted platform, and we limit access to your information to what is needed to fulfill your order. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
10. Children
Our store is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
